The sister sculpture to Zippy (2020), Pippi was shown at the Seattle Art Fair (repr. Ryan James Fine Arts) in 2025.
Pippi is one of the I’MPERFECT series of sculptures. Drawing on the artist’s Swedish heritage, Pippi is a highly playful reimagining of the children’s literary character, Pippi Longstocking. Clad in black lambskin, cowhide braids and polished brass attachment points, she embodies the physicality of the BDSM experience, while the closed brass zipper speaks tacitly of the inherent tension between a strong female character and the assumption of the submissive.
