Oods
2021 - 22
Oods are a series of small sculptures created to mark uckiood’s 10 year anniversary. Composed of resin, urethane, wood, plaster, steel and LEDs, they both constitute a culmination of techniques and ideas explored in Kim and Missy’s previous I’MPERFECT and Odd Jelly Out cycles of work, as well as signaling a distinct pivot in scale, style, form and character.
In keeping with Kim and Missy’s desire to create a highly integrated body of work - and their overarching aim to create a holistic artistic vision of the Odd Jelly Out world in its entirety - these tiny objects represent the first phase in the conception of the imagined landscape/space in which the OJO and I’MPERFECT characters inhabit and interact.
